It is the mission of Westminster College to educate and inspire all students through a distinctive liberal arts curriculum and a dynamic developmental experience; to challenge them to be critically aware, life-long learners and leaders of character, committed to the values of integrity, fairness, respect and responsibility. The enduring goal of our liberal arts education is the formation of well-rounded individuals whose breadth and depth of knowledge and diverse approaches to understanding prepare them for professional careers and a lifetime of learning and service.
Our focus on undergraduate instruction means our students are doing the kind of scholarship-winning research, often alongside faculty, that other universities reserve for graduate students.
History happens at Westminster. Here Churchill delivered his “Iron Curtain Speech” and the National Churchill Museum stands on Westminster’s campus. Churchill’s speech planter a seed at Westminster that continues to grow and bear fruit. Westminster students have been inspired and enlightened by a variety of world leaders who have come to speak where Churchill spoke. Our annual Hancock Symposium continues to bring leaders and influencers from around the world to speak to the Westminster community.
Together, a sense of history mingles with a vibrant present of Greek Life, Division III NCAA Athletics, and numerous clubs and organizations on 86-acres of tree-lined beauty and Greek-revival architecture.
There is power in knowing and embracing your purpose. Discover yours at Westminster.
